Jump To: Prayer Books Memorial Plaques PLEASE CALL THE SYNAGOGUE OFFICE TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS WORTHWHILE ENDEAVOR. The walls of the Sanctuary at BJCC are filled with memorial plaques that honor the loved ones of the present and former members of our synagogue. Why do we buy plaques? Our Torah talks of Abraham paying for a resting-place and marker for his beloved Sara after she passed away. This tradition has continued, and a stone of some kind marks all Jewish graves before the year is up. An additional marking is placement of a memorial plaque in the synagogue. The plaque honors the deceased, is a visual remembrance of that person, and a comforting marker for the family members. You, too, can buy a plaque for your loved ones, or reserve a space for a future need. The cost of the plaque is $300.00 and there is no charge to reserve. Please call the synagogue office to discuss your needs. Click Here For An Application (You must have Adobe Acrobat Reader) |
